Students will be creating a French presentation with audio files integrated about a food/drink speciality in the region assigned.
Possible Projects: Examples: An automatic presentation with graphics depicting the food/drink recipe ingredients, preparing the recipe and serving the recipe to host family members, showing the presentation at the same time the audio recording is playing. A presentation that shows all the graphics of each step, with the audio either at the beginning or end of the subtopic. (Example: Graphics illustrating the first step, then an audio explanation of the recipe).
Lesson Plan:
1. Students will type their scripts in google documents using symbols as accents. All google documents will be SHARED with full editing privileges with Français 8/Mme L.and all partners for peer editing. Overview of Google Docs
Inserting symbols into google docs. Go to the Insert pull-down menu, select Special Characters, change to Latin and find appropriate symbol
2. Record your scripts in Audacity exporting them as .mp3 or .wav files for insertion to your Presentations. Directions for recording and exporting. Quick overview of Audacity.
3. Create a Google Slide presentation following these guidelines below "French Directions .ppt" .Students will create their basic presentation with graphics, text but without audio (Google Slides doesn't support audio). Once the presentation is completed, students will download the presentation to PowerPoint, add audio files, and complete the presentation.
